Buccaneers, Sports Commission and Elder Ford to Distribute Sporting Goods to Local Youth
TAMPA, FL - On Wednesday, February 4th at 4:30 p.m., Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and cornerback Leonard Johnson, in addition to Buccaneers’ Cheerleaders, the Tampa Bay Sports Commission and Elder Ford of Tampa, will visit the Lealman Sports Complex in St. Petersburg (3755 46th Ave. North, St Petersburg, FL 33714) to present athletic equipment to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Police Athletic League. The sports equipment was donated by fans for the Replay Tampa Bay sporting good drive, which were collected on December 28th before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-New Orleans Saints home game at Raymond James Stadium.
This is the fourth consecutive year for the Replay Tampa Bay drive, which encourages members of the community to assist local kids in need by donating new or gently used sporting goods at a designated drive location. The Pinellas Sheriff's Police Athletic League is benefitting from the community's donations and will assist in distributing the donated items at their headquarters.
Over 1,800 items have been donated since the program’s inception in 2011. For additional details on Replay Tampa Bay log on to TampaBaySports.org.
