Tampa Bay will not only host the penultimate event in volleyball in 2023 but will also usher in the NCAA volleyball season with a prestigious event featuring some of the nation’s most powerful programs. The Road 2 Tampa Bay Volleyball Invitational — featuring the Florida Gators, Penn State Nittany Lions, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the host institution USF Bulls — is set for Aug. 25-26 at Amalie Arena and USF’s Yuengling Center. Get your individual or group tickets TODAY!

2023 NCAA DI Volleyball Championship to Air on ABC

ESPN and the NCAA have announced that the 2023 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship will be broadcast live on ABC on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 3pm. The semifinals will remain on Thursday, Dec. 14 on ESPN, with the first semifinal airing at 7pm and the second semifinal airing 30 minutes after the completion of the first.  The 2023 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship will be held at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., with tickets going on sale in August. On Episode 13 of the "Gameday Every Day" podcast, local TV personality Ryan Bass and Rob Higgins, the Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, count down to the 'Road 2 Tampa Bay Volleyball Invitational'. They discuss the impact of ABC's big announcement that they'll be broadcasting the 2023 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship on Sunday, Dec. 17. Plus, we're joined by Penn State women's volleyball head coach Katie Schumacher-Cawley and assistant coach and three-time champion Megan Hodge Easy, who played in the last volleyball championships in Tampa in 2009.

Replay Tampa Bay Donates 100 Sporting Goods to Local Youth

The Tampa Bay Sports Commission's Replay Tampa Bay initiative recently partnered with the City of Tampa Parks and Rec team and the Tampa Catholic Boys Soccer program, to bring nearly 100 new sporting goods to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreational Center! Together we are helping keep kids in the game, one sporting good at a time!

TBSC Hosts Tampa Bay Volleyball Showcase at OTVA

The 14th Annual Tampa Bay Volleyball Showcase took place at Florida's top club program, OTVA, in June. Hosted by the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, the event is designed for high school volleyball players, aspiring to compete at the next level. The Showcase, run by high school and club volleyball coaches, provided participants with a unique opportunity to showcase their skills in front of college recruiters.
