Senior Vice President of Sports Tourism
As the Senior Vice President of Sports Tourism for the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Jason is responsible for coordinating the commission’s direct sales and marketing strategies and leads the effort in attracting, as well as organize events of all sizes on behalf of the community.
Currently, in his 19th year, Jason started with the Commission back in July of 2005 as the Sales and Events Manager. Before joining the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Jason worked for Central Florida’s Polk County Sports Marketing as their Sports Sales and Events Representative, where he was responsible for the recruitment, development, management, and implementation of all special events and served as the co-host and co-producer of a weekly sports talk radio show and weekly television show.
“Jason has been such an integral part of our organization and is a big reason why we have been so successful,” commented executive director, Rob Higgins. “The economic impact generated for the Tampa Bay community as a result of his direct efforts is incredible."
Jason graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA with a degree in Sport Management and Business. While at JMU, Jason received the 2003 Outstanding Sport Management Major award. He was also recognized by Connect Magazine as a “40 Under 40” Honoree in May of 2013.
