TAMPA, FL (September 6, 2025) – The U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) will face South American opposition in November as the competition heats up ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on home soil.
The USA will first host Paraguay, presented by Allstate, on Nov. 15 at Subaru Park in Chester, Pa. Kickoff from the home of the Philadelphia Union is set for 5 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on TNT, HBO Max, Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock.
Three days later, USA-Uruguay, presented by New York Life, will be the USMNT’s return to Tampa for the first time since 2018. Raymond James Stadium hosts on Nov. 18 with the match against the 16th-ranked Uruguayan side kicking off at 7 p.m. ET and shown live on TNT, TruTV, HBO Max, Universo, and Peacock.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have the U.S. Men’s National Team coming back to our community for the first time in over seven years,” said Tampa Bay Sports Commission Executive Director Rob Higgins. “Our hometown has a longstanding history and appreciation for soccer, so having the USMNT take the field in our own backyard against a strong Uruguay side will only add to that rich tradition.”
TAMPA TIME
The USMNT returns to Tampa for the first time since 2018, a venue that has hosted the team for World Cup Qualifiers, Gold Cup group matches, and now a second road to the World Cup challenge match.
On Feb. 24, 2010, goals from Brian Ching and Sacha Kljestan paced the U.S. to a 2-1 win against El Salvador ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. As the U.S. began its team rebuild in 2018, the young squad put two goals past the heavily favored Colombians and eventually fell 4-2 in front of a Tampa-record crowd of 38,631 on Oct. 11, 2018.
Overall, the USA holds a lifetime record of 4W-2L-0D at Raymond James Stadium and 5W-3L-1D record in Tampa. A total of 11 different U.S. players have put their name on the scoresheet at RJS, including two individual multi-goal games (Landon Donovan, Jordan Morris) and three scored by defenders (Carlos Bocanegra, Clarence Goodson, Omar Gonzalez).
The Tampa Bay soccer community is also stronger than ever, boasting a prominent youth soccer scene, the rise of the USL Super League’s Tampa Bay Sun F.C., and complemented by the rich tradition of the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The community has also hosted many of the country’s most prominent soccer events and stars, including multiple Gold Cups, SheBelieves Cups, and, most recently, a visit from the superstar Lionel Messi and Inter Miami.
