Breaking: East Coast Spring Training Showcase to Remain in Tampa
PITTSBURGH, PA - CollClubSports is proud to announce that they have renewed their agreement with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission for the 2019 East Coast Spring Training Showcase event to remain in Plant City, Florida at Mike E. Sansone Community Park and surrounding fields. “The [TBSC] is excited to once again welcome back the National Federation of Collegiate Club Sports Leagues. Their 2019 National Club Baseball and Softball Spring Training Showcase will mark the 14th consecutive year the event has been hosted in Tampa Bay. In conjunction with Visit Tampa Bay, we look forward to partnering with CollClubSports to provide another unforgettable experience for the collegiate club baseball and softball programs visiting our destination,” says Jason Aughey, Senior Director of the TBSC.
Tracy Reardon, CCS Director of Spring Training Operations, also shares in the excitement: “The NCBA and NCSA are thrilled to head back to Tampa for another year of the East Coast Spring Training Showcase. The TBSC has worked with us for well over a decade and I have no doubt that our 14th year in Plant City will be another one for the books. You cannot beat the atmosphere of Tampa Bay with the beaches, night life, MLB Spring Training games and theme parks! I think teams are starting to see the correlation between the benefits of Spring Training and the success they have heading into the post season. 18 of our teams who made the event this past year made Regional Playoffs and five of them made the World Series in their respective Divisions. As a staff, we are ready to get the ball rolling and we hope we see some familiar teams and also some new ones to kick of the 2019 Showcase!”
