SheBelieves Cup; U.S. Women's Soccer Returns to Tampa Bay and Raymond James Stadium in March 2019
U.S. Soccer has announced “Countdown to the Cup,” the schedule of matches and venues for the U.S. Women’s National Team in 2019 that will lead into next summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup. Countdown to the Cup will run from January to May with the USA playing a total of 10 games – two in Europe followed by eight domestic – before departing for France in pursuit of another World Cup title. The U.S. Women’s National Team is set to face-off with Brazil on March 5, 2019 at Raymond James Stadium as part of a doubleheader (Japan vs. England). This will mark the second time Tampa Bay has hosted the SheBelieves Cup as the USA upended England, 1-0, in 2016. |

Iowa and Mississippi State to Square-Off in Outback Bowl
The Iowa Hawkeyes and No. 18 Mississippi State Bulldogs will square-off for the first time in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day in Tampa, bowl officials announced. Both teams are 8-4. It will be the first time these teams have played in 119+ seasons of their football history. It will also be the first appearance by Mississippi State in the Outback Bowl. “We are thrilled to extend an invitation to Iowa and Mississippi State to play in this year’s Outback Bowl,” said Outback Bowl Chairman Todd Timmerman. “These are two quality teams that should produce a terrific match-up that fans are really going to enjoy watching on New Year’s Day. We look forward to hosting the Hawkeye and Bulldog teams and their fans, and ensure them they will have an amazing experience in the Tampa Bay area.”
The Outback Bowl will be played on January 1st at 12:00 PM ET at Raymond James Stadium. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Game Day of Champions and Hillsborough County All-Star High School Football Game Returns December 15
The Tampa Bay Sports Commission, in conjunction with Hillsborough County and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are excited to announce a full slate of local youth football programming on Saturday, December 15 at Raymond James Stadium (RJS). The day will kick off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Game Day of Champions (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.), before giving way to a showcase many of Hillsborough County's top seniors at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers/Hillsborough County All-Star High School Football Game (6:00 p.m.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Game Day of Champions, celebrating its 24th anniversary (established in 1995), is an annual football event featuring four exhibition-style games between the best youth football teams in Hillsborough County. The vision for Game Day of Champions is to reward youth football players, following a successful league campaign, with the opportunity to play a game on the same field as their hometown heroes, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers/Hillsborough County All-Star High School Football Game, which is celebrating its 20th annual contest, is set to kickoff at 6:00 p.m. First hosted in 1999, the event aims to recognize outstanding senior football players and cheerleaders throughout the entire county by providing the unique opportunity to participate under the lights of Raymond James Stadium. |

USF & Marshall Accept Invitations to Play in 2018 Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla BowlThe Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl will feature USF (7-5, 3-5) from the American Athletic Conference and Marshall (8-4, 6-2) from Conference USA, as both teams have accepted invitations to play in this year’s game.
