Tampa Bay Sports Commission and TB12 Foundation Announce Partnership
The Two Organizations Will Collaborate on Local Youth Sports Initiatives
TAMPA, FL – The Tampa Bay Sports Commission (TBSC) and the TB12 Foundation have announced a partnership to collaborate on local Tampa Bay youth sports initiatives, it was announced Thursday, by TB12 Foundation Executive Director, Lisa Borges and TBSC Executive Director, Rob Higgins.
Coupling the TBSC’s mission with developing and hosting youth-centric and exposure-generating events, alongside the TB12 Foundation’s goal of helping athletes maximize their health and potential, the two organizations will team up to elevate a variety of future TBSC youth events.
Focused on assisting student-athlete health and well-being, the partnership officially debuted at July’s Tampa Bay Volleyball Combine held at the University of Tampa, where 100 athletes took part in the annual combine.
The collaboration will also include educating registrants on the five pillars of the TB12 Method (pliability, hydration, nutrition, functional movement, and mental fitness), optional TB12 bodywork sessions, and collateral giveaways. The TBSC’s 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers/Hillsborough County All-Star High School Football Game, held in December, will be the next collaboration opportunity as over 100 Hillsborough high school senior football players will compete one final time during the 2022 season.
“Our goal is to educate as many people as we can on the daily healthy habits that make up the TB12 Method so athletes can do what they love, better and for longer,” said Lisa Borges, TB12 Foundation Executive Director. “We are excited to expand our reach in the Tampa Bay Area and build on the success of TBSC youth programming by providing hundreds of student-athletes with health and wellness resources.”
“Teaming up with Tom Brady and the TB12 Foundation is a perfect fit,” said Rob Higgins, TBSC Executive Director. “We’re always looking to enhance our community impact and having the opportunity to build upon our existing local youth sports programming in tandem with the TB12 Foundation is very exciting. We couldn’t be more appreciative for this championship caliber partnership with our passionate teammates at the TB12 Foundation.”
